Section 3: Province (British Columbia)

British Columbia is a province on the west coast of Canada.

• British Columbia (B.C.) is located in Western Canada, next to the Pacific Ocean. The capital city is Victoria.
• BC is the second largest province in Canada, only behind of Ontario. (TBC)
• The largest city in B.C. is Vancouver. The Greater Vancouver region with about 2.5 million people, making it Canada’s third-largest city after Toronto and Montreal (2016 StatCan)
• Other large cities in British Columbia are Nanaimo on Vancouver Island, Kelowna in the Okanagan, and Prince George in the north.
